Stealth-action game Shadwen emerges from the shadows in May!

Finnish game developer Frozenbyte is happy to announce a May release date for its upcoming stealth-action game Shadwen .

Shadwen will launch at a spectacularly low launch discount price of $14.55 on PC, following a "demo event" campaign where gamers from all over the world were able to play a sneak-peek beta demo and lower the price by doing so. The starting price was $35 but over 20.000 downloads, 3.5 million points, and over 100.000 killed guards dropped the price to $14.55 (with a launch discount applied).

The initial launch platforms are PC and PlayStation 4. The final launch price of the game will vary slightly based on platforms and stores and their pricing policies. On PC it will be $14.55 or less in the most prominent stores.

Finnish game developer Frozenbyte has today released Shadwen, a stealth-action game set in a gritty medieval world of kings and assassins. The launch price is just $14.44 on PC and the official website is located at Shadwen. The launch platforms are PC, PS4, OS X and Linux.

A new trailer gives a glimpse into the game world full of physics, explosions, traps, and time rewind mechanics:

The game launches at a low price of just $14.44 on PC thanks to a community event earlier in the spring, where gamers all over the world were able to download and play a sneakpeek demo of Shadwen, and contribute to an overall score that lowered the price. The event was a huge success with over 20.000 downloads and over 100.000 killed guards.

The launch price on PC is $14.44 / 14.44 € and $15.26 / 15.26 € on PS4 for PS Plus subscribers. The regular price after the one-week launch discount period is $16.99 / 16.99 € on both platforms and all stores.

Frozenbyte CEO, Mr. Lauri Hyvärinen, had this to say: "Multiple stab wounds or not multiple stab wounds, that's the question."

Shadwen is available for purchase from Steam, PSN, GOG.com, Humble Store, Origin, and the GeForce NOW store, with more to be added later.

Non costa tanto, ma con tutto quello che sta uscendo in sto periodo lo tengo in wishlist e poi ai prossimi saldi lo compro.

ma non ho capito: ci sono scelte morali che portano a situazion/consegenze/finali diversi?
oppure si tratta solo di scegliere se fare tutto stealth senza uccisioni o meno, senza che cambi nulla nella narrazione?

Si. lo diedero con il plus; i comandi sono di legno, il gioco è calibrato male ed in generale quelle 3 ore che ci ho speso sopra non mi sono divertito.

si grosso modo confermo. l'idea è ottima, ma è sviluppata veramente male. io in genere a meno di casi clamorosi i giochi li finisco sempre, ma questo l'ho abbandonato per la frustrazione dopo poco più di due ore di gioco. ero frustrato e non mi stavo divertendo neanche un po'. provalo se riesci ad averlo proprio a due spicci e sei curioso, altrimenti non ti stai perdendo granché tranquillo. speriamo in styx 2..

Ce l'ho ancora sul groppone per il plus, ma essendo prossimo a ridurre al minimo (leggasi due titoli da 100 ore) il backlog, lo lascio lì dov'è visto che non è niente di che, evito di aggiungere un altro gioco al backlog.
