Hitman 2 sales at 250k max at the moment; IOI needs our help!

65k+ on PS4

35k+ on Xbox One

That's atrocious for a AAA game with Sean Bean helping on the marketing side. No doubt Hitman 2 was cheaper to produce than Hitman 2016, but 200-250k copies sold in the first ten days, especially considering it's not episodic anymore, is a disaster.

I'm not saying the game has to sell like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Spider-Man, but those numbers are abysmal for a game of this scope and a studio of IOI's size. I honestly fear the worst. WB dropping the company, IOI downsizing further, what's after that?"



Voi che ne pensate? Possibile che Hitman 2 stia vendendo tanto poco da far preoccupare la gente di un possibile tumultuoso futuro dello studio?

Magari che suggerisca la casa di produzione di scegliere meglio le date di uscita, e anche di fare un po' di marketing, perché ad oggi, senza quello, non si vende

Non mi stupirei se Microsoft aprisse il portafoglio e si portasse a casa anche IO.
Hitman 1 è già nel Game Pass tra l'altro.

Comunque è significativo che su PC stia vendendo praticamente come il totale delle due console. Segnale che è visto come gioco "hardcore" da pc gamer.
Forse seguire la strada intrapresa con Absolution avrebbe portato meno elogi ma più vendite.
