Scherzo, una merdata colossale.
Mai sentito, l'ho trovato su prime video e mi sono fatto ingannare dai punteggi di rotten tomatoes (100% critica anche se solo 5 recensioni, 85% pubblico).
Risultato: una merda, che prende spunto da un'idea di per sé interessante ma costruita su recitazione e personaggi macchietta, cliché e dialoghi imbarazzanti.

Rotten. Poorly written. Many scenes poorly acted. Sound uneven. I'd have to watch again and take notes but likely poorly directed and edited. Interesting premise probably better done elsewhere even by Mr Bixby himself. I'm sure the budget had a lot to do with it but seasoned professionals delivering lines poorly has to fall on the Actors. The cutaways you're inappropriate or poorly delivered reactions could be the Director's and Editors fault but the wooden deliveries must be the actor's own fault. There was some good stuff in here but it only illustrated the bad stuff all the more. Ugh.

This movie deserves zero stars. The acting is bad, the direction is non-existent, and the script has nothing interesting to say at all, unless you think that "Christianity wasn't all that original," is an insight worth spending 87 minutes on. And who are these professors? "There's nothing we can ask him that can disprove what he's saying!" How's this for a start: how do you get your passports? Are real names listed on your fake birth certificate? Was the man you met in the 1600s named Connor or Duncan MacCleod, by chance?

What started as an interesting premise, got lost in bad dialogue, bad acting, and gossamer thin statements that are less thought provoking than they are built up to be. As some reviewers have stated, there were so many plot lines that could have been explored, but what was presented strained credulity, even for a story of a dude who was supposedly 14,000 years old, and that's saying something. For all the reviews claiming it was the best movie they'd ever seen, and have watched it multiple times, you need to get out more if this is your gold standard.

l'ho iniziato, ma dopo circa 15 minuti ho capito che era una cagata e l'ho accantonato.
Tu invece imperterrito, duro fino alla fine.

Ci ho provato!! Immaginavo fosse una schifezza!!
Stasera mi sono guardato Carnage, 1 ora e 20 circa di film ambientato in casa di una coppia che litiga con un'altra coppia, mi è anche abbastanza piaciuto.
