Tutto sommato direi di si, cioé se si gioca con tutti ping verde/giallo si gioca tranquillamente, su AoE II Hd steam mi segna 474 ore :sisi:

Age of Myhology (la versione riveduta che si compra su Steam) funziona bene con windows 10? A leggere le recensioni su steam sembra ci siano parecchi problemi.

sono tutti giochi vecchiotti, se ne girasse bene anche solo uno su win 10 sarei sorpreso :sisi: poi magari la versione riveduta ce la fa, ma non credo abbiano fatto chissà cosa alle dx, probabilmente hanno solo riadattato il motore alle risoluzioni più alte e rifatto le texture..
a parte questo non ho mai sentito parlare di quella espansione di aoe 2 che sta nel primo post.... io sapevo solo di quella dei conquistadores.
Poi in realtà ci sta anche AoE 3 ma immagino che un gioco dove i soldati sparano attraverso le mura non piaccia molto...

In pratica un paio di anni fa uscì una mod/espansione amatoriale denominata Forgotten Empires con nuove civiltà, nuove campagne e nuovi scenari, fatto sta che questa espansione poi è stata "ufficializzata" come espansione/dlc della versione HD acquistabile su steam divenendo di fatto la seconda espansione ufficiale del gioco, il medesimo team (che si chiama Forgotten Empires), che ha anche continuato ad aggiungere contenuti per questo dlc ed a supportare AoE II Hd (ad esempio mesi fa c'è stata una mega patch con la quale hanno stravolto il multiplayer allo scopo di unificare gioco base/espansioni, perdere la compatibilità con Xp in favore di quella con windows 10, mi pare), ha rilasciato un a novembre un secondo dlc/espansione con fazioni africane.
Comunque il team Forgotten Empires ha in cantiere anche un'espansione per la versione riveduta di AoM.
Il 3 su seven mi gira ma ho avuto problemi con il recupero password dell'account eso.

Ho letto le prime recensioni su Steam, e ho l'impressione che bisognerà aspettare un pò prima di avere un gioco funzionante, diversa gente si lamenta di vari bug che lo rendono ingiocabile.

si a quanto pare chi ci sta giocando si lamenta della bassa qualità di questa "espansione" che sembra più un mod con riciclo di unità cambiate di look, storia banale e il resto un pò tirato via :uhm: vista l'espansione che hanno fatto di age of empires 2 mi aspettavo che anche con mythology usassero lo stesso grado di qualità e di attenzione :boh:

Tons of bugs have been resolved for players of both the base game and Tale of the Dragon, and the balance has been tweaked for a good number of units (RIP, Vermillion Bird rush). In addition, we’ve made improvements to the scenarios in the single-player campaign, resolving a few issues that caused instability.
If you find any issues in this build, we want to hear from you! This is the best thread to report bugs or give feedback, so let us know!
General:
• Certain random map scripts should no longer inadvertently spawn Chinese units (Nomad, Team Migration, and Vindlandsaga).
• Winning scenario 2 no longer skips to scenario 4.
• Scenario 4 now properly ends when skipping the starting cinematic.
• Scenario 8 no longer crashes when flying birds into the force field.
• Various history files that did not show up in other languages now display properly.
• Various localization issues have been addressed across all languages.
• AI will now start fishing on Nomad maps if fish is available.
• Minor additional AI improvements.
Mod Manager Improvements:
• Mods no longer become scrambled when reloading assets.
• Newly subscribed items should now appear at the top of the list by default.
• A new dialog now appears on start up when a mod has been updated and requires restart.
• Unsubscribing should now correctly function.
• Modded taunts now function correctly.
• Additional light settings are now supported.
• Triggers are now supported.
• Steam tags have been added for AI and Triggers.
• Special thanks to Android for being instrumental in raising Mod Manager issues and helping to test that we fixed them!
Unit & Power Bug Fixes:
• Nomad, Team Migration and Vinlandsaga no longer incorrectly spawn Chinese units.
• Unbridled Anger can now be researched in the Chinese Barracks.
• Reinforced Hull now properly applies to both Atlantean and Chinese Fire Ships.
• Shennong now gets his wall upgrade discount for Stone Wall.
• Fu Xi's immortal bonus now works correctly in all ages.
• Bogsveigirs are now affected by Odin's health bonus.
• Bogsveigir, Khopesh Swordsman, Shennong's Fire Lance and Sitting Tiger are now all affected by their relevant upgrades.
• All wall upgrade availability bugs fixed.
• Greek players advancing through Hermes can now access the Physician.
• Physicians now display the command panel.
• Physicians no longer walk into enemies when tasked to attack, but remain where they stand (max of 28 range).
• Physicians are no longer classified as heroes.
• Monks can now attack animals.
• Monk conversion rates normalized in lightning (slightly faster than normal).
• Chu Ko Nu can now garrison inside buildings.
• Fire Lances can now garrison inside buildings.
• Jiao-long description has been updated.
• Azure Dragons can no longer attack Citizen Heroes with their special attack.
• Khopesh swordsman now has proper icons.
• War Salamanders have a proper selection circle.
• Chinese Peasant limit in Lightning reduced from 80 to 25.
• Immortals now attack ranged heroes with their ranged attack.
• Immortals now have proper train sound for being a hero unit.
• Ducks no longer sound like chicken when killed.
• Onagers now have proper selection sounds.
• Vermillion bird and Phoenix attack sounds no longer stack improperly.
• Great Walls and Gates are now named correctly.
• Inferno now blocks god powers in its range.
• Inferno and Flames of Typhon no longer share the same icon.
• Great Flood can no longer be controlled.
• Walking Woods now works on DLC trees.
• Hotkey for unit stance now work on civilians.
• Hotkey for Greek Granaries has been added to the menu (G).
• Hotkey for Garden has changed from G to U and the description now says "Build monument" rather than "Build granary".
• Hotkey for Storage Pit has changed from M to G.
Balance Changes
• Physician attack removed. They no longer walk into enemies when tasked to attack, but remain where they stand (max of 28 range).
• Physician speed reduced from 4.2 to 4.0.
• Physician now counts as a hero rather than a human unit.
• Scout Cavalry line of sight reduced from 9 to 8. Archaic age weakening changed from -70% damage to -80% damage.
• Barrage can now damage Villagers and no longer starts battle music.
• Vermilion Bird range reduced from 14 to 6. Minimum range of 2 implemented.
• Vermilion Bird Tornado lifespan reduced from 10 to 5 seconds, AoE range reduced from 7 to 4, dps reduced from 20 hack/crush to 15 hack/10 crush, amount spawned reduced from 2 to 1.
• Vermilion Bird special attack removed. Now the basic attack will spawn Firestorms. Basic attack animation length doubled.
• Vermilion bird hit points increased from 650 to 700.
• Vermilion bird now displays the DPS of the Firestorm.
• War Salamander hack and pierce armor values reduced from 60 to 45%, hit points reduced from 650 to 600, damage reduced from 25 to 20. Food cost increased from 120 to 200.
• Dragon Turtle special attack reworked. Does powerful splash damage and can be used on villagers.
• Removed LoS effect of all upgrades on Wall Connectors.
• Barrage god power no longer plays battle music and affects villagers.
• Inferno god power blocks other god powers in range now.
Whew, what a list!
Can't launch the game?
The launcher also now requires the Visual Studio 2015 Redistributables as well as the game. If previously you could hit the play button on the launcher, and then mysteriously nothing happened. Now when folks with this issue hit "Play Game" in Steam, the launcher will crash and pop up with an error for a missing dll file. It's not a full fix, but at least it lets you know something is happening!
We’re working on a fix for that, but until then, we have a temporary workaround that you can view in this thread.

Su altri titoli se ne trovano ed aumentano esponenzialmente il livello di sfida (e quindi la longevità) nel single player, rispetto a quelle standard contro le quali basta "tenere" all'inizio e poi il più è fatto... :uhm:

Ti consiglio di cercare su heavengames (http://aok.heavengames.com/) e sul workshop (http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/b...0&requiredtags[]=Artificial+Intelligence), con Forgotten Empires hanno aggiunto alcune ia di default.

The New Servers Are Coming!
Update 2/5/2016: We’ve added new information to this post, as well as a way to sign up for the server beta! Changes include an update on the plan for handling multiplayer data from matches played during the beta test, and a new date for the beginning of the beta test window.
All of you Age III fans might want to sit down, because we’ve got some big news: We’re upgrading to new servers for Age of Empires III! This is happening very soon, and you can sign up below to help beta test the new servers! The first test session for the new servers will begin on Friday, February 12, but you can sign up now using the tool at the end of the post!

Why the upgrade?
Way back in September, we promised to bring our servers up to modern standards. The hardware that’s been hosting Age III has been near the end of its life cycle for a while, and this has caused problems for our dedicated player base. We knew it was time to move on to server hardware that worked with more modern systems; it was just a matter of finding the right tools for the job!
What will this fix?
Primarily, this will fix the stability issues that have been caused by our aging hardware, so the ESO service should be much more reliable. That’s not all, though! There are a host of other issues that this upgrade will address, including making it much less difficult to recover lost passwords.
How will it affect me?
For the most part, it won’t. It will take a few weeks to fully implement the transition, but you’ll still be able to play online during that time. We found a way to keep the multiplayer data from the old servers during the beta test, so you won’t lose any progress* from multiplayer matches played on the current community servers during the test. However, we WILL wipe multiplayer data from the beta servers after we make the final transition.
*We may still have to wind the clock back by up to 24 hours when we fully implement the servers, but we will give you as much warning as possible in that case. Previously, everyone was going to lose up to a few weeks of game data, so a loss of only 1 day is a great improvement!
How can I help?
We will need players to test the servers and make sure they’re really up to snuff. You can sign up by entering your name and email below. We will begin the first test session on Friday, February 12. We will update this blog with a more specific time (and alert the beta testers via email) as the date draws nearer. The first test session will run until approximately February 15, and we’ll evaluate the need for further tests after that. follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates!

Desyncs
Fix for rare Chinese Barrage God Power desync. It was based on the meteor power, but wasn't using LandSfx, and that value was uninitialized, so when it became valid on one machine, it would desync (value had to be 0-900 out of a range of 4 billion). This was quite similar to the restoration desync that was fixed in an earlier patch.
Fix for rare desync involving Ulfsark Starting units after being killed. May have affected other new units such as Alfred or any of the new DLC units, including the Chinese town center upon resign. Regenerating protoanimextents.dat file was needed (adding all new units since the Titans expansion shipped).
There is still an outstanding desync involving resigning that we are still looking into but we have improved diagnostics that have been exposed to this patch release to help catch it.
Mod Manager
Additive God Powers and Random Map scripts now work again when they aren't contained within a versioned subfolder.
Optimized startup time of Mod Manager and modded files are no longer listed twice (that was not the only optimization).
General
Some fixes pertaining to tech trees and hotkeys in 2.0 were accidentally nuked by the introduction of the Version system in 2.1 and they are back.
