io non so se tutto quello scritto qua sotto è vero, ma se lo e' in canada stanno proprio fuori:
So here's the story. A few months ago, a woman was attacked and killed by a dog. The media did what it does best and lost its shit. They claimed it was a "pitbull type dog" (funnily enough, it was a registered boxer). The family of the victim pushed to change the law and ban all pitbulls and pitbull-type dogs in Montreal, which is leading to a city-wide dog ban and strict guidelines to follow if you do have one (muzzled at all times, spayed/neutered, microchipped, short leash, criminal background check on owner, etc). You must also obtain a $150 permit (no telling how long it will take to get one). This law has even extended to cats. Law enforcement officers are allowed to ENTER YOUR HOME AND PROPERTY WITHOUT A WARRANT to see if you comply with said guidelines. If you do not, they are allowed TO TAKE YOUR DOG AWAY AND EUTHANIZE IT. They will also capture and euthanize any cat found outside, regardless of if it has a collar or is registered. At this point, I believe the city is looking to abolish all pets. This is pure bullshit. The Montreal SPCA is working extremely hard to get all pitbulls and similar type dogs out of Montreal before Monday October 3rd because they will ALL be euthanized if found alive on city grounds. Both the SPCA and veterinarians across the province are refusing to euthanize healthy and stable dogs because it goes against their moral, ethic and work codes.
