Alla radio ho comunque sentito che la nuova Yahoo non avrà nulla a che fare con internet

Si tutta la parte web passa a Verizon. Qui sotto un post da reddit che spiega bene.

As has been mentioned in other posts, Yahoo is two different companies. An investment company named Yahoo and the web property named Yahoo too. This is similar to how Alphabet owns Google.

The investment company is in the process of selling the web property and the brand name to Verizon. Since they need a name for themselves, they are becoming Altaba. They still own Flickr, Tumblr, and shares of Yahoo Japan and Alibaba.

Marissa Mayer was the CEO of Yahoo (the web property) and was on the board of Yahoo (the investment company). She is stepping down as the CEO of Yahoo and staying on the board of Altaba.
