Accelerare la cancellazione dei file in Windows [any version]

10-20 minuti contro 5 ore? Davvero tutta sta differenza su un benchmark con stessa partizione?

Non è un benchmark ma una mia congettura quasi sicuramente vera!

Comunque ho trovato la soluzione a quanto pare, ovvero:

1. cancellare da linea di comando sopprimendo l'output;
2. cancellare prima tutti i file e poi l'intera struttura delle directory.

del /f/s/q foldername > nul
rmdir /s/q foldername

This is nearly three times faster than a single rmdir, based on time tests with a Windows XP encrypted disk, deleting ~30GB/1,000,000 files/15,000 folders: rmdir takes ~2.5 hours, del+rmdirtakes ~53 minutes.
