Secondo uno studio condotto dall'utente Reddit EnergiserX e condiviso da Destructoid, Bungie starebbe ingannando i giocatori di Destiny 2 sui punti esperienza accumulati dopo il raggiungimento del level cap di 20.

L'intento sarebbe spingere i giocatori verso gli Engrammi Luminosi (aka microtransazioni) con perdite di punti esperienza, rispetto a quelli che andrebbero ottenuti di norma) fino al 95%.

La perdita "aumenta almeno fino al punto in cui guadagni soltanto il 4% di ciò che dovresti. Gli eventi pubblici assegneranno solo il 50% di quello che dicono", è una delle osservazioni del giocatore.

Non è la prima accusa che Bungie vede rivolgersi dalla sua community: un caso precedente ha coinvolto un timer invisibile che regolerebbe, o avrebbe regolato, l'acquisizione del loot.
