Poor casting for Starr in my opinion (no hate to Amandla), the character in the book was brown skinned (not a light skinned biracial) so tired of the colourism in the media, give black girls with more afro-centric features a chance too.

It looks good, but I'm a bit disappointed. They cast a light skinned girl as Starr and made it look as if Khalil really was in the wrong. In the book, Starr is darker toned and Khalil never even brushed his hair with the brush, he mainly asked if Starr was okay.
