Ricevuto anche io da uno della mia lista amici sto link... nel dubbio non l'ho aperto e guardando il suo profilo ho visto questo in prima pagina. State attenti a non aprire link[TEMP/BREAKING INFO] : I received a .jpeg link in a Steam chat from an Italian user and when I opened it it downloaded a .scr file from a Russian website, and the same "pre-made" message I received from that user has been sent to other users. The main thing I can say is: don't open that link!! I don't think it's an hacking question since nothing has happened to my account, but rather some kind of malware or virus. I truly hope it didn't harm or affect anyone, and I'm really sorry for what happened!!
A further scan with Malwarebytes told me it was a malware, and current scans with Avast told me there aren't traces of this malware anymore so it should be everything fine and clean now. Sorry 'cos I didn't even think such a thing could happen by opening a Steam chat link
Last update: most of my friends told me that their updated smartphones and PCs all blocked the malware, so fortunately it's an issue that didn't affect many people, but I'm really sorry for everything that happened!
FINAL UPDATE: It seems that this was an old malware that doesn't work anymore since it didn't harm at all my inventory or my Steam profile/games. It just sends messages and redirects to that Russian page. Sorry again guys, everything's resolved!! Thanks for reading!
