Dopo i primi 14 secondi dedicati a Firefox, in questo video viene presentato un interessante distributore automatico che permetteva di riprogrammare la propria cartuccia per Atari VCS con uno dei più di trecento giochi disponibili. Inoltre la macchina stampava pure le istruzioni!

Amiga 35 Events in 2020

I mentioned that Amiga Ireland was the first Amiga's 35th birthday event this year. There are many other 35th birthday celebrations in the planning stages. I know because I'm involved with and sponsoring at least three events around the world on behalf of A-EON Technology.


Amsterdam, Netherlands June 27-28

Some like Marcel and Marvin, the organisers of Amiga30 in Amsterdam, have already posted details of their event, FLASHBACK 20/20, while others are in the very late planning stage and should be announcing information very soon. Anyway, watch this space. Viruses permitting, 2020 should be full of Triple-A fun for all Amiga enthusiasts whatever your Amiga flavour.

Game & Watch, giochi elettronici che hanno letteralmente "acceso" le giornate specialmente per chi è cresciuto durante gli anni Ottanta.
Quanti di voi, invece, ricordano/ci hanno giocato/colleziona tuttora la serie LCD Solarpower della casa produttrice giapponese Bandai. Dei piccoli capolavori, rapportati a quel periodo, alimentati ad energia solare con due pannelli LCD sovrapposti uno sull'altro, consentendo quindi ben due schemi di gioco che aumentavano la variabilità e giocabilità.

A few years ago I ported the Archimedes version of Elite over to Windows. The port was based on the original source code which was a 50/50 mix of C and ARM assembler. I re-coded the assembler in C and replaced any platform specific code to use the SDL2 library. The resolution was also increased. Unfortunately the port was not released but here is a video showing how it plays.
