Currently, unemployment ratio is at 11% in Italy, and youth unemployment (<=25yo) is at a whopping 35%, which is only better than Greece and Spain in all EU.

We have more lawyers, medics, architects than we can currently hire (but we would NEED more doctors, just the State has no money for them).

Engineers can easily get a job (noy necessarily a good job and almost surely not in a small town).

Thinking of a small Sicilian town, I think your profile fits well with a job in a high level hotel/restaurant/spa, since you speak many languages, which most people don't, and would be able to deal with foreign clients. But it's unlikely you can get it without speaking Italian.

By the way, everything in Sicily except Palermo can be considered a small town by US standards.
