Ho comprato la Definitive Edition del secondo Age of Empires.
Ma il dlc per la grafica migliorata che è? Pesa 30 GB, il gioco base non dovrebbe già avere la grafica migliorata? :asd:
Dovrebbe essere le texture ultrahd o qualcosa del genere, comunque io le ho scaricate :snob:

Hi @Age of Empires IV fans! We want to know about your experience with Season 1 of Age of Empires IV, and what you think of Age IV in general. This survey will help us understand what is working well and what isn’t, as well as why you play the game.
We’ll be honest – the survey is pretty long because we’re covering a lot of ground here (ranked seasons, mods, campaign, just to name a few things). But as our way of saying “thank you” for taking the time to share your thoughts, everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a drawing for a gift card (there will be 50 winners in total!).
Our plan is to do a survey like this after every Season update, but in the future they should be shorter and more focused on just the new stuff.

Io sto giocando la campagna dal 14 aprile che ho fatto il pc pass, ho finito la campagna inglese e ora sono all'ultima dei russi a difficoltà intermedia.
Ho visto che Prime gaming regala il DLC United States Civilization per AoE3DE.
Questo quale sareebbe?
Sembra il tre, no?
Potrebbe essere anche il 4°.

Cazz vero. Come fa la grafica del 3 rimasterizzato ad essere migliore del 4 è un mistero.

Però bisogna vedere come saranno queste "mappe storiche", dovrebbero essere mappe "casuali" ma con obiettivi specifici, solo in queste posso confidare... :bua:
Ma sopratutto, è ancora giocato online il terzo AoE visto che il 4° non mi sembra neanche ben bilanciato?
Si, viene ancora giocato da quel che ne so (ed il forum ufficiale sembra molto frequentato), ovviamente neanche lontamente quanto il due... :D

L'errore principale del 4° è stato proprio ambientarlo nello stesso periodo ma senza renderlo figo :asd:
Non son mai riuscito a capirlo il 3, tante belle idee che però personalmente non mi hanno mai preso più di tanto come gameplay.
Probabilmente è così per gli stessi creatori vista l'ambientazione del 4 :asd:
Il 2 ha un fascino inarrivabile.
Il problema è che il 2° è nella summa dei videogiochi RTS, ha ridefinito un genere e resta fico in tutti i suoi aspetti. Ancora oggi è godibile come 20 anni fa. Paragonare qualsiasi altro gioco "direttamente" al secondo è un errore.
Il terzo ha provato a rinnovare la formula e secondo me è ancora oggi un ottimo titolo (anche se non ho giocato alle remastered), le civiltà sono ben caratterizzate ma alcune cose hanno funzionato meno, come la campagna principale eccessivamente "complottista" e la gestione della Città Madre, così come il limite alle strutture. Però mi fa piacere che abbia comunque mantenuto una nicchia che ancora manda avanti il progetto.
Il 4° è una sorta di "omaggio" al 2° ma pur essendo fatto da gente che ne sa (sono quelli della Relic), pecca nello stile grafico e al netto di qualche novità simpatica è molto fatto "a compitino". Avrei gradito un cambio di direzione artistica anche per staccarsi dal 2° che come detto è inarrivabile. Poi vabbè ha la grafica di due decadi fa, ma quelli sono gusti personali.
Sul 4 non dico nulla perchè non l'ho ancora comprato, dico solo che graficamente non mi piace molto.
Il 2 è vecchio, ha delle meccaniche che san di vecchio e te ne accorgi mentre ci giochi, ma mi diverte lo stesso giocarlo :asd:
A differenza del 3 che ha diverse robe fighe, in primis l'ambientazione, ma non ha lo stesso fascino, soprattutto non ha lo stesso single-player. A me quelle campagne con la storia alternativa non son piaciute granchè... nonstante si vede che son curate e con un sacco di cutscene.
Ma non hanno lo stesso mordente del 2.
Il 2 rimasterizzato sarà vecchio, ma è un vecchio che ti ci abitui o riabitui subito.
Il 4 sta sul Gamepass se ce l'hai è ovviamente gratuito. Brutto non è, ma proprio non mi ha catturato, e penso lo abbia fatto a realmente a pochi.
E' il contesto degli RTS tradizionali ad essere purtroppo stantio a livello di novità.
