I find it absolutely ridiculous that Ariel saved herself. I miss the damsel in distress. I’m not a fan of the Little Mermaid but one thing I did enjoy about these original princess films was that when they were in trouble the prince stepped up. He battled dragons, sea monsters, witches all for one girl. He didn’t mess around or send someone else in. He stepped up and proved himself to the girl he loved. And Ariel made sacrifices to be with the one she loved and in the end she was rewarded for it.
Live action changes : No sisters singing. No chef Louis singing "Les Poisson". No Vanessa, singing her iconic song. No Eric saving the day. And finally, No boat wedding.... Adding on that, "cringe feminism", dark lit/murky underwater scenes. And Bad CGI....This live action remake sucks....
You're absolutely Right, Shad. They did everything they could to erase the love story, because they didn't want a woman to sacrifice anything for a man. it always comes back to woke culture and the hatred of men with these movies
