La cerimonia di premiazione dei DICE Awards ha visto il trionfo di Nintendo, che ha portato a casa la maggior parte dei riconoscimenti.
Alla Casa di Kyoto va soprattutto il premio di Game of the Year, vinto grazie a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, oltre al Lifetime Achievement Award assegnato a Genyo Takeda, esponente di spicco della Grande N nonché responsabile della creazione di alcune console della compagnia giapponese, come GameCube e Wii.
Grande successo anche per Cuphead, vincitore di ben tre riconoscimenti, mentre Horizon Zero Dawn e Lone Echo/Echo Arena vanno a casa con due premi ciascuno.
